- In November 2025, we hosted our partners from Slovenia.
In November 2025, we spent an eventful week with our partners from OŠ Bogojina, Slovenia. Our guests experienced our educational system firsthand by participating in regular lessons. Beyond the classroom, we organized workshops focused on utilizing AI for fact-finding. Students were tasked with investigating the question: 'Why is ice disappearing from the Silica Ice Cave?'—and the answer was quite surprising!
To help students reconcile their theoretical findings with practical observations, we visited the area of the cave itself where we also took measurements in the temperature change in the proximity of the cave opening. We also enjoyed an engaging, interactive visit to the Mining Museum in Rožňava, which focused on reading comprehension and culminated in a fact-finding competition. Our cultural itinerary included the Domica Cave, the Renaissance Watchtower in Rožňava, Betliar Manor House, and the Zádiel Gorge. Additionally, we took our guests on a 6-km hike through the forest to explore various karst features, followed by an authentic goulash lunch in the mountain village of Kečovo.

Throughout the week, our own students acted as hosts and tour guides, proudly representing the natural and cultural treasures of our region. We can’t wait for our return visit to Slovenia in April 2026!
